Signature training

“I left each session feeling grounded, inspired, and with several new tools in my work communication and stress management toolbox. Having a community along the journey helped create accountability and connection. While I saw the results most immediately at work, Beyond Perfect also helped me reduce anxiety at home as I navigated big life stressors, including buying a house, or moving, and parenting young kids. I honestly have slept better at night because of Beyond Perfect!” - Liz

We're here to help you experience the relief, satisfaction and freedom that comes with breaking free from the perfectionist cycle

As is the case for so many high-achieving women, you know there was a time your perfectionist approach served you well – helping you succeed in ways that mattered to you. But like so many of us, you’re realizing that these same perfectionist patterns are now preventing you from leading the life you imagined for yourself – that you’re stuck in a perfectionist cycle of trying harder, working harder, sleeping less, blaming yourself, and looking to others to try to figure out what you must be doing wrong.

The good news is that you can move beyond this cycleAnd we can help you so that you don’t have to do it alone.

When you join Beyond Perfect, you’ll make meaningful progress in understanding your own perfectionist patterns, feel supported in your efforts to try different approaches, and experience the joy and satisfaction that comes with breaking free from the perfectionist cycle. And you’ll do all of this with an inspiring, supportive community of women around you.

How it works

We combine the power of research-backed content, community, and coaching to enable lasting transformation.

Over the course of 8 weeks, you’ll access weekly video lessons, featuring concepts, tools and guided reflection designed to help you break free of the perfectionist cycle. We know how busy you are, so we limit weekly videos to 20 minutes in length, which you can watch whenever works best for you.

Each week, we come together as a community to offer encouragement, share what’s on our minds, and celebrate wins. Beyond Perfect's founder and lead trainer facilitates our time together and provides insight on the topics and questions that are top of mind for you.

If you’re interested in going a level deeper, you’ll have access to optional questions for independent reflection, practices to incorporate into your daily life, and a private communication channel to continue the conversation in between sessions.

Taken together, each of these elements combines to deliver an experience that is proven to help you reduce patterns of perfectionism in your life, helping you live the life you desire. Read more about our results here.

What makes the Beyond Perfect approach different?

Have questions?

We've got answers.

When do the community coaching sessions occur?

Community coaching sessions take place for one hour on Zoom on Tuesdays, 4pm PT / 7pm ET. These sessions are designed to take your learning to a deeper level, provide the opportunity for you to learn from others who share your experiences, and help get your questions answered by Beyond Perfect's lead trainer. Participants join our sessions on an 8-week rolling basis, with their first community coaching session starting on the Tuesday following their registration.

How do I know if I’m the right fit for Beyond Perfect?

While some participants in Beyond Perfect feel stuck in the perfectionist cycle in many dimensions of their lives, others join with a specific area of focus (e.g., perfectionism at work or in parenting). Read more about the type of people that tend to benefit most from the Beyond Perfect experience.

Does the group focus on perfectionism in specific areas of life?

The high-achieving women in Beyond Perfect are excited to tackle perfectionism in a range of areas, including work, parenting, their romantic relationships, their physical appearance, their home lives, their friendships, their creative endeavors and their spiritual lives - to name a few! Participants in Beyond Perfect often come to the group wanting to work on perfectionism in specific aspects of their lives and report making progress in those areas. Often, however, participants identify that perfectionism is at work in other aspects of their lives that they had little awareness of when they started the program. Read testimonials and program results here!

What is the value of the group format?

Past participants of Beyond Perfect have shared that the community aspect of the program is one of the most powerful elements of the experience. Hearing other women share their experiences helps you understand you're not alone, provides insight into a range of perspectives and approaches, and also helps hold up a mirror to some of the areas where you may not fully see your perfectionism at work.

Is this similar to therapy or a substitute for it?

No. The Beyond Perfect experience is for learning and community-building purposes, and does not constitute therapy, a therapeutic relationship, medical care or medical advice. Our team is not trained or licensed in any way to provide therapy. However, many participants have reported the experience to be a very helpful complement to therapy!

What is the cost to participate?

The program costs $697 and includes access to all of the following:

  • 8 weekly video trainings

  • 3 bonus video trainings

  • 8 live community coaching sessions

  • Downloadable session materials

  • Suggested strategies to try in between sessions

  • Weekly prompts to support deeper reflection, if desired

  • A list of research-backed practices to integrate into daily life

  • Access to our Beyond Perfect community

  • Q&A with our lead trainer in between sessions

  • A pre- and post-program progress assessment

These elements combine to yield powerful results, including the lasting change you are looking for. Many employers will fully or partially cover the cost to participate (see below). Please reach out with any questions!

How do I seek reimbursement from my employer?

Many employers have budgets available for employee professional development, training or wellness. Many participants have successfully sought partial or full reimbursement from their employer for the Beyond Perfect fee, given the benefits this program has in the workplace, including greater job satisfaction, decreased burnout, increased creativity, improved management and communication skills. It is for these reasons that Beyond Perfect offers corporate training programs. See here for materials and a letter you can customize to submit to your employer or contact us if additional resources are needed.

What is the time commitment?

Weekly video lessons are 20 minutes each and can be watched at the time that works best for you. Weekly coaching sessions are an hour in length. Participants are encouraged to try out strategies in between sessions that take very little time, just intentionality! And optional, weekly prompts are available for those who desire deeper independent reflection.

I see that the program is for women. Can you share more about this?

Yes, our signature training focuses on women given the far-reaching impacts of perfectionism for high-achieving women, while our corporate trainings are designed for a broader audience. We define “women” as people who were born as women, were socialized as women, or who identify as women. If this does not describe you but you are still interested in working together, please contact us -- we'd love to talk!
