with WENCO

"I found the program to be incredibly helpful in building awareness of some of the tendencies that cause me to feel stress at work (and at home!), and in providing concrete tools to approach my life in a more sustainable, playful and connected way. The class ultimately freed up time in my daily life because I eliminated a couple of time-wasting habits, including obsessing over some small decisions. By being aware of when I was spiraling, I was able to recenter myself more often and be more productive."

Many high-achievers earn our early career success by defaulting to a common set of perfectionist patterns, such as a highly meticulous approach, investing additional hours even after reaching the point of diminishing returns, or operating with the primary objective of making everyone happy.

As we progress in our careers, these same patterns that enabled our early workplace achievement can become the very things that limit our professional success and personal wellbeing going forward.

At Beyond Perfect, we work with top performers to move beyond these perfectionist habits, preparing leaders for sustainable, resilient success and satisfaction in the next phase of their career. And WENCO wants to make this program available to YOU! For 12 weeks starting in early February, a small group will spend an hour a week exploring patterns of perfectionism (even if they don’t strongly identify themselves as perfectionists), and identifying and practicing approaches to go beyond the perfectionist cycle at work and outside of work. Upon completion, you’ll have ongoing access to resources, inspiration and support as part of our alumni community.

Along the way, you can expect to make meaningful progress in understanding perfectionist patterns within yourself and others, feel supported in your efforts to try different approaches, and experience the joy and satisfaction that comes with going beyond the perfectionist cycle.

"I left each session feeling grounded, inspired, and with several new tools in my work communication and stress management toolbox. Having a community along the journey helped create accountability and connection. While I saw the results most immediately at work, Beyond Perfect also helped me reduce anxiety at home as I navigated big life stressors, including buying a house, or moving, and parenting young kids. I honestly have slept better at night because of Beyond Perfect!"

How it works

We meet as a group via Zoom for an hour each week over the course of 12 weeks.

As part of each weekly session, we’ll cover a specific topic designed to help you break free of the perfectionist cycle, with opportunities for reflection and application within small groups.

Each week, you’ll have access to questions to support additional, optional reflection – and we’ll encourage you to try out an approach covered in the session. This takes very little time, just commitment and intention!

Along the way, you’ll have the chance to continue the conversation in a private communication channel with your colleagues in the program and program alumni.

Taken together, each of these elements combines to deliver an experience that is proven to help you reduce patterns of perfectionism in your life, helping you live the life you desire. Read more about our results here.

Upon completion, you will have ongoing access to:

  • A pre- and post-program progress assessment

  • All session materials, included recordings of key concepts

  • Homework and worksheets to support your ongoing reflection

  • Access to our Beyond Perfect alumni community

  • Most importantly, the confidence, tools and community you need to live the life you desire – free from the perfectionist cycle

Have questions?

We've got answers.

When and where does the group meet?

We meet via Zoom for an hour each week over the course of 12 weeks. (Our first session is 90 minutes in length to enable time for community-building.) Our WENCO cohort launches on Wednesday, February 8th and wraps up on April 26th. Sessions will take place at 12pm MT.

How do I know if I’m the right fit for Beyond Perfect?

While many participants in Beyond Perfect identify strongly as perfectionists, others see perfectionistic patterns or tendencies in only one or a few areas of their lives. Read a bit more here about the type of people that tend to benefit most from the Beyond Perfect experience.

What is the value of the group format?

Past participants of Beyond Perfect have shared that the community aspect of the program is one of the most powerful elements of the experience. Hearing other women share their experiences helps you understand you're not alone, provides insight into a range of perspectives and approaches, and also helps hold up a mirror to some of the areas where you may not fully see your perfectionism at work.

Is this similar to therapy or a substitute for it?

No. The Beyond Perfect experience is for learning and community-building purposes, and does not constitute therapy, a therapeutic relationship, medical care or medical advice. Ashley is not trained or licensed to provide therapy. Read more about Ashley’s background here.

What is the cost?

What is the time commitment?

WENCO will cover a majority of program costs. For WENCO members, the program fee is $75 and for non-members, the fee is $250.

Weekly sessions are 1-hour each and are a mix of training, discussion and coaching. Those who benefit most will commit to spending15 minutes each week on suggested assignments in between sessions.

What does the application process involve?

WENCO members will be given priority and should apply by January 20th. If spots remain after that date, non-members will be notified by January 27th if a spot is available. Participation will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. You can apply today here. The Beyond Perfect team will be the only individuals to see your application and will review your responses to ensure you will benefit from the experience – and invite you to join if so!

Will the program focus solely on perfectionism at work?

While much of the conversation will focus on perfectionism at work as a way to support your professional learning and growth, the program’s contents enable you to evaluate and address perfectionism in a range of other areas, including but not limited to parenting, romantic relationships, friendships, finances, and creative endeavors. Participants in Beyond Perfect often come to the group wanting to work on perfectionism in specific aspects of their lives and report making progress in those areas. Often, participants identify that perfectionism is at work in other aspects of their lives that they had little awareness of when they started the program. Read testimonials and program results here!
